Will consider trade for mountain quail males. I have two unpaired laying hens whose eggs I would like to be able to hatch. If you have mountain quail males but don't want mandarins still please contact...
We had a female runner that belonged to my neighbor that had that problem. There was a couple of days where she was lame and when in the pool would flip over. We just did our best to keep her comfortable and would hold her in the water occasionally so she could drink and we could clean her up...
We use old rubber mats to cover our ducks ramps to get to their pools then it wont matter what you use beneath be it wood or bricks. We bought one mat from walmart it was a cheap flexible thing. The others I got from my moms office when they got old and were about to be thrown away. They are...
I was told you can sex them based on the length of their top feather, the males are longer than the females but since I only have two I have not had much luck with it myself. I think I might have two males.
Here is my little bob. I am not sure if he is just a regular northern bob or something like a Georgia bob. His call is definitly different than the wild bobwhite sound clips I have found.

To late for chicks but there are young adults being offered on eggbid.com every once in a while. I bought my eggs on eggbid and hatched out two several months ago.
I know there are several waterfowl breeders up your way, though no one will have ducklings. To bad your not down this way there's a guy in Ramona with mandarins and woodies whose trying to sell his.
The only one that is really close I can think of at the moment is...
I don't think this is one of your birds but this group occasionally gets reports of found banded pigeons...

I am not sure if you will have to sign up in order to see the topic.
I wish you were to, no one around here seems to think they are worth anything even just as cool pets. Most don't even believe me when I tell them they are mallards they think they are miss-shaped call ducks.
