    Mainer here, and hello from lewiston, where there is no ocean and taxes are crazy looking to move to country so horse can also live at the house and not be boarded .

    Does anyone use sharp sand as recommended in Charles Week's book?

    My little ladys 4 weeks old, have sand in there roost box, makes for easy cleaning, I will put straw in the nest box when it is time time and the coop sits in the garden so they are in sand or dirt most of the day unless i let them out of the run, built a playhouse coop 4x8

    New Hampshire Sexed as Pullet-Were They Wrong?

    I am really shocked to see what your birds look like at 6 weeks, as I was told mine where 4 weeks when i got them May 23, and they are starting to lose there fuzzy feathers and get real ones, so i am thinking they were one week old and today marks 4 weeks, because mine look nothing like yours...

    i'm new to this I also have 5 new chicks about 6 weeks old and do not know if any are roos how do i tell and do get start do develop their comb before the hens
