    No not really. I put that earth powder on it each day now. I cleaned out coop well this week. How would I rule out each one in your opinion? For cocci..what do I look for? For Mites/lice where do I look? For worms...How do I look?

    I have a 4 year old Brahma. Her comb has been paler than her sisters the past 2 weeks. I don't think she is laying eggs anymore. She is eating and drinking. I see her quickly shaking her head often. She is walking and running, but definitely a little weaker with a stumble here and there...

    Great article. I have a solar door so they come out at dawn and are in their coop at sunset. It works great and you don’t have to be there exactly when they wake up as they have come out on their own.

    Hi i always hear Brahmas take 2 years to grow. My 5 Brahma hens are 1 year old. So are they half grown or will they grow just a little bit more?

    No eggs...help please

    I have Brahma hens, it is January, and they are 7 months old today. I feed them laying hen feed. I have had no eggs and i heard they are a slow breed to hatch eggs. Any advice to help them along...or just let them be.?

    Can a dog and chickens safely coexist in a small backyard?

    I have 2 greyhounds and one has a huge prey drive for the squirrels , cats and rabbits. Part of my yard is sectioned off to separate my chickens From them. However I made mistakes and forgot to close the pen. You know what the dogs left them alone...maybe because they see me holding them...

    2 questions...should I put a bale of hay in my coop shed for insulation as they have no heater? Also I’m waiting for my first egg but I put hay in nesting boxes and they just remove it each morning...once they lay will they stop taking all the hay out of nesting boxes?

    Salt in a water bottle

    So yesterday was 16 degrees and water didn’t freeze over completely for 6 hours with bottle too big to bobble. I added even more salt today and now the bottle itself is really not freezing. No salt is going into the pan as it’s enclosed. It won’t be in there every day as the temp will rise...
