- I am a teacher. I successfully hatched 7 of 11 Rhode Island Reds recently. My students loved seeing the process. I have 9 duck eggs -- Pekin, Mallard, and Cayuga -- due to hatch on 10/29. One hatched on 10/26. Cross your fingers that my students get to witness some of the ducklings hatch!
