    Thanks though on close inspection they ALL have hairline cracks, and 1 has a spider web of cracks, though they look really fine I'm still gonna try and incubate, and probably seal the cracks a little..

    Swimming for ducklings?

    Well, I have 4 aylesbury ducklings, now 2 and a half weeks old, and was wondering when they can have permanent access to water to paddle in? They have daily supervised swims, and they don't need a heat lamp anymore. Thanks a lot! 2 days old 2 weeks old

    It's gone so fast, and they've gotten so big! The pictures aren't great, there's always one that won't stay still for the camera.. Also, one of them was sort of quacking today... more of a half quack lol These were taken just after bath time. They're practically all grown up :')...

    UPDATE - Ducklings 1 Week Old - **PICS**

    haha, their legs are becoming mighty 'hench' lol 3forfree - I kept the temperature at 99 (fan-assisted) and the humidity was at 50% up until lockdown, when i bumped it up to 75-80%, I also dropped the temp to 98 which isn't a major difference... but i was advised to do it. what type of duck is it?

    Yaha, I do personally believe they're cuter than chicks No I don't have a pond but these ducks are going to friends when they're a bit older... in the mean time they've been having paddles in a paint tray. They'll still be local when they go though

    Thanks guys Nope they're not runners, just aylesburys according to the seller I'm thinking about letting them have their first 'swim' today... aka an inch of warm water that they can flap about in if i do it ima go picture crazy again.. lol

    Thanks! I've chipped a little more of the shell away, creating the start of a zip, It's midnight here, so I think i'll leave it til morning and see if it's gotten anywhere.. plus i hope by then the blood would have been fully absorbed... I'll post any updates. Thanks again.

    Well I had 5 aylesbury duck eggs, 4 have hatched and are doing great. The last egg i though had quit, due to the ducklings kicking it about, knocking it against the side of the bator, smothering it in weetabix (temporary until i got duck food) and one even pooped on it... then about 48-ish...

    thanks guys i love them much <3 i swear at 48 hours old they've grown a ton schellie69 - they're aylesburys, I chose to hatch them because of their stereotypical 'duck' look, haha unfortunately the last egg i have doesn't look too good.. its pipped at the wrong end and is really slimy...
