    Bottom beak longer than the top???

    Her top beak, after examining it more, looks like its the top thats deformed. Her siblings have very long beaks, and hers on top is pretty short. She seems to be doing okay with eating, drinking and preening. I just hope it doesn't cause a lot of issues as she gets older

    Thank you. But they already hatched. I lost one ducklikng because i was unaware if assisting with a malpositioned chick, but i had 7 out of 8 hatch! The one has an awkward beak tho, the bottom us longer than the top. Any ideas on what this could be?

    Hello, i had 7 ducklings hatch last week and as i was really examining the newest one, her bottom beak is longer and looks a little crooked compared to the top. What does this mean for her? She is healthy and active like the rest of her siblings, i am just concerned about the bottom beak.

    Twins!!!

    I just candled them again to mark the air sack. One of them is dark inside, but i dont see the baby moving (maybe too dark?) But then i turned the egg while marking the sack,the black inside moved with the egg. Could it possibly be a dead embryo if i couldnt really see the baby? Im new to this...

    I cant get a picture of the twins, but i got this one. Ive circled all of the baby that was moving all together. I have a couple like this far along, then i have a couple that look like little tadpoles!
