Yes same exit but the plumbing is different for poop and an egg is my understanding. Which is also a concern of mine when she starts laying. I'm afraid egg production may kill her :(
She's doing well, still bath her but only need to once a week. She's not quite as big now as the others but she's still growing none the less. My other frizzle with the bad legs is doing better as well but still not perfect. I keep him in the house night time. We call him our house rooster lol...
I really don't think she's breeding frizzles to frizzles because before she sold me the eggs she told me if I want to keep frizzle chickens not to keep a frizzle rooster for that exact reason. But there's no doubt out of all the chickens I've hatched the only ones with health issues are the...
The breeder says she only breeds to Cochins , I also have one now from the last hatch with a lame leg. I had one like that before who developed a bad leg at 2 weeks old and died! I'm wondering if frizzles need extra vitamins or protein? I've given them vitamins in their water the first few weeks...
So my concern is that there don't seem to be feathers growing around the area...and she's extremely "short" in the rump. Almost like her back end is between her legs. Any thoughts?
Not to be gross but I just seen her poop and she tucked her bum between her legs so the poop fell on the floor so maybe she's starting to adapt to condition already....one can hope! I also realize that breeding don't take place through the same place that she poops but I'm assuming that her or...
She seems to be doing fine since I've given her a bath and clean it up she's eating and drinking and doing great In The brooder box.....as long as she don't seem like she's in pain or suffering I'll just wait and see how it goes
Ya I don't care about the extra work of keeping her clean my only concern is that the other chickens will start pecking her when she gets older. I'm really hoping someone on here has had the same experience and can tell me how their's made out.
