    So for anyone still following, i keep hearing a young rooster trying to crow in my neighbors yard, he told my husband he got a new rooster so he can keep up with us lol, i cant help but wonder if its my little capone so im sending my husband later to see if its him...I wouldnt take him back but...

    I think the worst part is not knowing, I can only hope that he simply wandered off back to wherever he came from. i haven't found anything to make me believe he was taken by something....no signs of a struggle, no feathers, no remains anywhere.

    I'm hoping he just went for a walk, we live on 2 acres... I told my 5yr old that maybe he went to find his mommy and daddy, she is devastated.... Who would have guessed that we would have grown so attached to a little chicken... Fingers crossed that he turns up soon

    Well I'm so upset I just went to lock Capone in for the night and he is gone, . I'm hoping he just went for a vacation but I seen a rogue raccoon in my carport today.... Hoping he didn't get taken by something.... He was just in there like two hrs ago when I checked on him... So sad!

    Lol my husband is well aware of how chicken math works....he learned that lesson when I had my hens and told him I needed a rooster now.... Lol so he'll just come home one day and notice that there are more than when he left

    Thanks for the kind words everyone I am also thinking white leghorn cross, as for integrating him into the flock... I don't know if it will ever work, I have a feeling he will be a permanent house chicken who goes to an outside pen during the day...he seems to think he already belongs to a which...

    I think it will grow back, if you look at pics from day one and pics from yesterday the scanned part of his beak started off way up by his nostrils and yesterday was all the way down on the tip, so it must have grown back a little for it to have moved the scab, right?
