    Bio security and selling chickens

My property is my chickens space. They free range for most of the day and there is not one square inch that they don't peck at. I sell on a small Facebook page and there are plenty of pictures that I have posted to understand how my chickens are raised.

    Bio security and selling chickens

I'm selling a few pullets to make room for chicks in the bator. Is it wrong for me to not let potential buyers to come to my house due to my bio security rules? I don't vaccinate my chickens and really don't want to administer antibiotics because someone brought a sickness to my house that was...

    Please help this hen

I'm posting this for a friend. This hen has 1 eye swollen shut, the other has puss coming out. She says it's comb is turning black with blood. I assumed pecking, but she says this hen is at the top of the order. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Third try

My second try was a dry hatch. I only added water at lockdown to bring my humidity up to 65% from 45%.

advice needed: Culling out bad genetics in my flock.

Ok. I thought you may have had a traumatic experience with them. I have 7 Dominique's, 2 being Roos, that are 9 weeks old. My brown leghorns that are the same age are definitely dominate over them.

advice needed: Culling out bad genetics in my flock.

Mrs. K, just out of curiosity, what were your issues with the Dominique's? I'm new to the chicken world, so my experience is minimal.

    Third try

This is my third try with incubating. My first try was a complete bust with 12 eggs. I had 2 of those hatch out but one died almost immediately and the other had deformed feet. The second time I only tried 7 eggs and got 1 healthy bouncy chick from that hatch. This time I'm going with 20 eggs...

White Frizzle Cochin laying a lot of eggs!!

Just wondering, is it normal for a Cochin to lay 4 eggs in three days? No mistake in if she layed them or not. She's in a coop with Ameraucanas that all lay blue eggs for sure. She just started laying around 2 weeks ago. I'm getting an egg a day from her except for Friday and Saturday. I...

    Would it be a problem?

Some neighbors gave my son 2 guinea chicks that are about three days old yesterday. They were free range with around 50 other chickens and guineas. I'm wondering if it would be ok to add them to my chicks that range between 6 weeks and 9 weeks old. Of course I will quarantine them first. Just...
