    I used to be a plumber, but I live in Florida so there isn't much call for stuff like this. Last year we did get down in the 20's so I am preparing for another hard freeze just in case. Thanks for the information. I will check the supply store to see if they can order.

    Is there a rule of thumb for age mixing? They are kind of getting a bit big for the brooder.

    Thats the question. I figured that since they have lived in the same coop for 2 weeks and haveonly been separated by the chicken wire, that they were introduced. Would I just go ahead and add them to the flock now? Is there a better way? Do I wait longer? I am kind of new to this whole thing :)

    Waterer Ideas?

    My chicks are 6 weeks old. they caught on to the nipple watering system very quickly, like 10 minutes quickly. I love the automatic waterer set up. no mess, no tending.
