We received Olga from a farmer who raised chickens as hobby and because he was over the poultry at our county fair. When I picked out Olga, she was already a hen, at least a year old. I believe that was 2007 which puts her at least 10 years old. She was always skittish and was not one to let...
When I clean out the hen house, I take the droppings and wood shavings and put them in the run. I will take about 1 lawn mower bag of green grass and put in with it and I let the girls scratch it and mix it all up. Then I clean the run out about once per year and put it in my compost bin...

I'm in Brigham City. The Planning planning commission worked an ordinance and submitted it to the city council. The BC Police are against it but the mayor said they would pass it when the concerns of the police were resolved. I have a blog for people interested in what is happening up north...
