    This is such an incredible helpful thread! I have a cockeral who's been spinning in circles since day one. (Not constantly, but 1-2 times a day he'd go into fits.) It used to be charming, but now at 4 months, he quickly became listless, shaking his head, craning his neck, and not walking well...

    My hen has been plucking her feathers out like crazy! And it's gotten bad... please help.

    Okay that is pretty good news! It looks the the feathers on her back, wings, and neck will grow back. I guess by definition I only see her "preening", but she’s missing almost all of the little fluffy feathers under her wings, abdomen, and around vent. I assumed it was self inflicted.

    Shes 1.5 years and has not molted yet. She’s still my best layer despite her “illness.” When can I expect her to molt?

    I live in Wisconsin. This past June when the weather got warm, this girl started loosing the feathers above her tail and around her neck. I attributed it to my rooster (no longer in the picture), so I got her a chicken saddle so she might heal. The chicken saddle made her lose the feathers...
