two 11-month old hens in NJ

I am interested but can't get down the shore too easily. I live in bucks county PA. I would be willing to pay for the birds if you would be willing to meet somewhere in between, perhaps around the tacony bridge. Let me know what you think. Thanks, Jesse

    What'ya Think?

As Chicks, they were both taken from the Brown Laced Wyandotte pile, but one clearly is not a Wyandotte. Any thoughts?

Too Roo or Not Too Roo?

I didn't get any good pictures of the two wyondottes, but they are distinctly different in thier coloring and features. One is clearly a hen, with the diminutive comb and wattle. The light highlighted one (pic 5) has a much more defined comb, wattle and ear. I just assumed that this one must...

Too Roo or Not Too Roo?

I think a couple of my "hens" have too much roo in them. My concerns are the lighter of the two Wyondottes and the White Auracana. I have included pictures of all the ladies, and perhaps a couple drag queens! Let me know your thoughts.

    Sick Chick?

I have an 12weeks old Auracana and she has spent most of the last week laying on the ground. When she does walk around, she doesn't seem lame per se, but more like hesitant and cautious. She is eating and drinking, but does spend her day pecking and roosting like the others. Any thoughts?

    4 birds; 3 eggs?

The girls are about 18 months old, although I am not 100% sure as I got them after they were laying. They eat a full layer ration (pellets), and also get scratch mixed in. The regularly get kitchen garden scraps as well as crushed egg shells(thier own).

    4 birds; 3 eggs?

Without segregating the girls, which is impractical for me, any ideas on how I determine which one is not giving up the goods?

    4 birds; 3 eggs?

I have four birds, all have been consistently laying an egg a day. Every so often I would get a three egg day. I have now had four or five straight three egg days, so I figure one of the old gals is having a problem with her do-hickey. How can I determine which is not layin and the reason for...

    Wintering my Flock

This is my first season with my hens. I currently have 4 Reds and may be getting a fifth. Is there anything I should be doing now to prepare for a Southeastern PA winter?
