    Chickens got into bait bag

Keeping a close eye on them. They had a few days of diarrhea but its resolved itself. I might just do a round of deworming just incase. They haven't shown any signs of illness outside of the diarrhea.

    Chickens got into bait bag

So this is an odd one. We have those stinky fly bait bags. They are the nontoxic ones. One of them fell and broke open. We live in florida and the heat causes the plastic to get brittle in the sun quicker this time of year. I only noticed when I went to change their water. They ate the whole bag...

    Pullets? Straight run?? Rural king??

That would make sense why nothing I selected had any dates. Thank you. I was so confused. I know rasing chicks are more popular since last time I got chicks but this is really weird. I hope they are able to ship out next year.

    Pullets? Straight run?? Rural king??

I have both. My tractor supply usually gets 6 brooder full with a very basic limited set of chicks. My rural king has 20 plus brooders. I've been looking for buff orps and lavender orps since I started my flock. So that's the goal breeds this round. My bonus would be a favoralle, maran and a...

    Pullets? Straight run?? Rural king??

Thank you i will note this next time I need to get more. I thought spring was order time. I've only gotten chicks from stores. I definitely goofed that up. I had hoped to just order them this year but now I have to figure out who has what when. I wish they had a calendar so I wouldn't have to...

    Pullets? Straight run?? Rural king??

Ooh thank you! I totally understand the possibility of surprise roos. I'm trying to minimize that chance. I dont think I'm zoned for roos. Chickens are but last I saw in my area roos were a no go. And I'm not really looking into hatching so I'd rather just have layers. I'm okay with a surprise...

    Pullets? Straight run?? Rural king??

Thank you! I was checking picks and videos of my local store and I couldn't see any of the breed info from their last shipment so I got nervous.

    Pullets? Straight run?? Rural king??

I did call and the people I spoke to must have been new or busy. the 1 didn't understand what I was asking the others said they wouldn't know until they got them in since the hatchery is responsible if they do it or not. I know they get supplied from hoovers but hoovers had a minimum of 10...

    Pullets? Straight run?? Rural king??

I'm hoping to get some chicks in from my local rural king next week but since who knows when they are coming in and what breeds they will have. Does anyone know If they label their strait runs and pullets? I got my last batch from tractor supply and had a pretty good turnout. Only one surprise...

Booted bantum 6ish weeks little hen or roo?

Hi summer, I'll try and snap some better picks in the am when the storms have passed. I really love this little guy, I hope their pants come in pretty too. If he's a nice roo I want to try and keep him but I don't know if my family will appreciate his singing lol

Booted bantum 6ish weeks little hen or roo?

So this is my little booted bantum Teeter, we don't know her exact breed so it's throwing me off and I'm really nervous she's a little roo not a hen. I'm trying to plan out solutions if she is indeed a little roo. I think she might have little pink wattles that I saw today. she's about 6weeks...
