Well Today I have cleaned out both nesting boxes and the Coop to. I used a safe inscticide to clear out any eggs if there any around the Coop and of course changed both Hay in the nesting boxes. I find it odd that she caught mites as the other 3 hens I own dont have any mites on their skin...

How to deal with an agressive hen

Our hens at 3 months old have currently stoped laying due to the winter months and the cold weather. But I thought they have started to molt their feathers as their are feathers all over the cage. Just suddenly yesterday I noticed one of our quails had blood above their beak and started to...

Is This normal is some hens?

I think genetic could be one of the factors of small combs. As she is a warren cross. Not sure what our rooster was, definitely had a crest gene as you can see she has the crest feathers

Are Warren Hens Suppose to Have Crest Feathers?

This Hen is 6 Months Old and is crossed since our rooster was mixed breed. The breed of our rooster is hard to identify but he was black and Huge. (Looks to be a Jersy Giant Crossed with Another Chicken) I found it strange becuase Warren Hens at 6 month really don't have the Crest Feathers and...

Duckling Hatch Early and Looks to be struggling to continue hatching

Just notice there was another crack and the duckling has been trying to push it's beak out abit more and peeping and opening its mouth like its yawing or breathing. Is this normal? Also when it cracked more of the top it seamed to have tiny bleed.
