    Dominant Copper Appearance

    I just bought 2 dominant coppers! So I will keep you posted as to what mine grow to look like. Right now they are just fuzzy black balls.

    Age of first egg lay for your chickens?

    I have 6 total birds ; 2 RIR, 2 Smokey Pearls, and 2 Easter Eggers. 1 pearl, and 1 egger has started to lay. 1 of my reds laid maybe 1 or 2 egg and non since. I've had them all about 20 weeks now, all purchased at the same time.

    Chicken crowing at 2:30. No rooster

    It's only the one red, I have two red, and she crows so loud and with so much chest in it. She sounds just like a rooster.

    I have a rhode island red that crows so loud at any given time of the day. She is the H.B.I.C. and I've heard they will crow to show dominance but she's putting me in a bad spot with my neighbors. She sounds just like a roster!

    What are they?

    So I have 2 smokey pearls, both purchased from the same store( tractor supply) on the same day. As chicks I noticed one of the pearls had black feet and a darker beak, we named her padfoot, the other pearl is dottie. As they grew padfoot grew dark wattles and combs, but dottie grew red wattles...
