The only concern about hatching later in the year is staying warm enough for winter in my opinion. I like to get mine off heat by September at the latest to acclimate them to the weather changing. That's just my opinion though so take that as a grain of salt
They are a very friendly breed that I've found so far. We've got a speckled Sussex that is super friendly also. She's our house bird because she's spoiled 😑 The rest of our flock is cochins. And there's more cochins in the incubator because I'm crazy....
Seems like that's my luck, picking the hard to find breeds. I did it with dogs, then bunnies, and now chickens lol That's OK, I'm up for the challenge 😄
