We had to cull our little hen today. Nothing seemed to help. Now I have two more that are looking droopy and one with a boil on her back. I am not sure what to do. We are going to disinfect the coop again today. Thanks everybody for the advice.
We live in Texas. It only is affecting the hens, we changed their food. Age ranges from 6wks to 2 years. The only thing they have in common is that they are all hens.
I have been reading about New Castle but, it doesn't quite match. Their necks get weak and then they stop eating. My favorite little hen has it and it is so frustratiing not to be able to help her.
We have had several hens die and have more that are sick. They start out droopy, then have trouble with balance, then progress to not able to use their legs. We have been battling with this for two months. Nothing we do helps. We have the hens isolated from the rest of the flock. Help
