    They are living outside, they are full fethered. And they have a pond as well as plenty of shade, and when they are doing this they don't seem to be trying to get away from direct sunlight. Also, they don't both do it at the same time. They don't seem to be struggling to breathe, either.

    My ducks a kind of quivering their beaks. Could this mean over heating? They don't make noise while they are doing it, and they don't do it all day...

    Is it normal for the wings to be so bare for a good while. My pekin got this way about a week after we brought her home, and still the same several weeks later.

    We still haven't named our ducklings because we want to have an idea of gender first, but I want to hear some DUCK NAMES everyone has given their ducks!!! Pics are always a plus, too!

    how do you hold a duck correctly?

    I sing to my ducklings and it seems to be making a real impact on them warming up to me and becoming less tense around me. Only had them for about two weeks now. Still neither of them enjoy being picked up. I know this sounds kinda silly, but they seem to be less tense when I make quaking...
