Thanks so much - you have been a lot of help. I took the dark one out in the sun and looked closely at his head (he didn't like it one bit) and we saw what looked like iridescent feathers. Also on his wing feathers there is a small strip of dark blue feathers. I don't know how old these... -

Thanks for tip about the Rouen. I looked at some pictures and the markings on the feathers are the same and just possibly the lighter one could be a blue rouen as the feather markings are the same. The brown duck doesn't have any blue on it's wings, the tips are white. The lighter duck... -

I could sure use some expert advise about two baby ducks we "rescued" on the side of the freeway/interstate in Tennessee. They were just waddling along, not sure where they were going. No bodies of water near where they were found. Not actually babies, more of a teenager size, I would think...
