    No new birds. I didn't notice any foam or drainage. I will look again in the morning. She did almost sound like she was coughing though.

    I have a silkie that was fine on Saturday but didn't leave the coop on Sunday. I picked her up Sunday evening and although her legs seem to be functioning she isn't moving. Her wings flap just fine also. I noticed today that she sounds croupy. She seems to have a cold or maybe pneumonia...

    Like a cockerel around their age? Do you think the pullets pick on him? I've read I should never introduce just one chicken by itself.

    I have twelve pullets that are between 5-6 months old. They have established their pecking order but I would like to add a rooster. They free range quite a bit during the day and I heard roosters help alert when their is trouble. What is the best approach? Should I get a full grown rooster?

    Oh! I have two polish and I though for sure the other one I have is a cockerel by the crest shape but it doesn't have any wattles either. What about this one? It's about 3 -1/2 months old.

    Sizzle silkie breeding genetics

    I'm wondering what offspring would be produced with a frizzled silkie hen with regular silkie feathers (not satin) crossed with a regular silkie roo would be. Would 100% of hatches be frizzled or is it 50/50?
