Right now we have an Orpington and the Easter egger laying about 6-7 eggs a week! Cant wait for the rest to start. And its getting dark around 4:45pm as well.
Finally the Easter egger started to lay eggs this week. She laid 3 days straight. Took off Thursday. Let’s see today. They are very clean too. We have sun from 6am-4:45pm. Now let’s see if the lavender Orpington’s do too
Oh no don’t say that. I’m in NY and it’s getting cold at nights and days are getting shorter. I do have some 12 weeks old chicks so I have the 20% chick feed so I’ll switch them back to that. Let’s see.

We have 3 lavender Orpington and 1 Easter egger that are 28 weeks old and no eggs. Anything I can do to help speed the process? We are giving them Dumor layer pellets and black fly larva as snacks. They free range about 1-2 hours a day. Help

We will keep the black EE Cockerel as he is the calmest sweetest and will even sit in your lap. He is not that loud as well. So the other pullets are 3 Lavender orpington and the EE in pic #2.
