Please forgive me if this has already been addressed, but what if you have more than one broody hen? I only have one cage, but 3 broody girls. Can I put them all in the same cage? It is big enough. :fl
My girls are fortunately in the shade. It was 100 here yesterday. I did put a fan on them and gave them pans of blueberry and snap pea popcicles. They loved it!
I definitely have a few Roos. There is one barred rock, one red leghorn, and one Silver Grey Dorking. I need them gone very soon. They are all 8 weeks old and vaccinated for Mareks & Coccidosis. They are from McMurray. I'm out off 76 north of Hudson. [/IMG][/IMG]
Ok. Thanks for all your insight. I was at a loss for this one :hu You are pretty sure it's a roo though? Is it the comb that gives it away? If it is, I'll have 3 Roos up for grabs. Thanks for everyone's input!
I also posted these in the baby chick pic post, but I wanted to share with my fellow Colorado peeps. My friend Kara Valario took these pics of my babes on Sunday.
Here is my coop almost finished. I just need to put hinges on the doors, paint, and check for leaks. Let me know what you think. I may add some pics of the inside later.
Thanks for all the info! If I did anything right so far, it's making my coop 3 times the size of what I think I'll need. It sounds like you have a great group of girls. I just hope time flies and my girls will laying before I know it. :fl
