    Thank you for your response. I do the same thing, cleaning out the poops from the shavings and on the floor under the perch. Then I water down all the poops in the yard too. I only have four chickens but they sure do poop a lot! I have much to learn about them and this forum is very helpful...

    Thanks! I water the poop into the grass right now. Planning later to compost it, use I in the garden or bury it. Haven't researched what is safe and healthy yet though.

    Anybody have any ideas for chicken entertainment?

    I read that hanging lettuce from a rope or thick twine is entertaining for them.

    Broody Hen Stopped Laying

    I have a small Crested Polish. She went broody about a month and a half ago. Actually, we thought she managed to escape our yard but she'd show up randomly, like every Tuesday, and we'd try to locate any places she could be getting out and by the time we turned around she was gone again...
