WOW Hope the tree has been removed. Hopefully you have good insurance. I used to have two trees on each end our house. The one on the East side of the house fell in a big wind storm away from the house. The tree on the west side was removed. No trees next to the house any more. TOM
I think those would work great. Just have to be real careful with the electrical layout. I know you have or had an electrician at your place. Show him what you would like to do. I have 50' extention cords running all over my back yard "not good". I have a lot more stress with the 100 degrees...
Sorry to hear about your storm troubles. We watched the same storm but it stayed East of our place. Wind only made about 30 to 35 MPH We had an all day rain on Sunday and that is great for my side of the mountains. Hope all your baby chics grow up to be healthy hens. I have 30 eggs in INC today. TOM
Thank you for your quick reply. I would think the cock in the cage wing carriage is correct? My two cock birds wing hang to the thigh, thought maybe a genetic trait. May not breed out?? TOM

Thank you, Marchick
I think we may have started this about the same time. I got my birds from Brian Parks all BCM I have 16 pullets that are laying They are 11 months and I have 3 hens that are 2 years old. We got 12 Marans eggs yesterday.
I have 1 rooster that is 2 in March. I have 3 roosters...
I have had Black Coppers for 3 years and think it is time for some Blue Copper. After all this Covid-19 is over I would like to get some Blue Copper . We are both in Washington State. If I remember right you are near Yakima. I would be willing to do a long road trip. Just asking because you said...
If I remember correctly the eggs we are going to hatch should weigh 65 grams. Weather here is still winter. We had a low of -11 with wind, it will be cold until Feb or March!! My hens have not started laying yet. Pullets are laying nice color this year. Very happy with them. TOM
Thank you Chooks Man. All my cocks have too much copper!! I like my hens to have copper. I have read this thread more than once and will continue to do so. It is all about balance. There are two colors in this years pullets, copper and mahogany. I will go ahead and bred this cock to the three...
