    Roll out egg nesting box

    For those of you with roll out egg nesting boxes, what do you use for nesting? I'm getting ready to build some and looking for flooring/nesting ideas. Was thinking maybe some of that green rug/turf stuff. Or pieces of rubber stall mats. Do you have mold/moisture issues? Thanks

    Tiny egg

    We found this egg just outside the coop door today and have no idea where it came from or who. We have 3 10 week old call ducks. 12 10wk old pullets. 2 8 wk old pullets. And 8 1.5 y/o hens. Two of the 8 hens haven't laid an egg in quite a while now maybe two months. Any ideas where this egg...

    6 weeks, breed??

    I was led to believe I was purchasing welsummers and speckled Sussex. Well I have speckled Sussex but no welsummers. These are what turned out to be my "welsummers". Anyone have any idea what breed they are? I know the pics are bad and hard to see. I'll try and get some more after work.

    I just hatched out these two chicks from a commercial hatchery "amaracauna" hen and RIR/Cochin mix rooster. The blue chick has blue clean legs. And the other has yellow with a tinge of blue feet. With feathered shanks. Any genetic gurus out there have any input on how this occurs or why?? I...
