    Barred rocks - 6 weeks old.

    So this is my first chicken raising journey in 20 years or so. I have 24 Rocks in a 25 square foot brooder and the weather is just not cooperating in wisc. to get them outside into their new tractor coop. They are extremely confinement liking as I had the lid open halfway for fresher air etc...

    Murano - What color is the roof? Supposedly where these things originally came from they winter in the cracks of cliff rocks that are light in color. Thus when the first frost hits they head for light colors looking for hiding places to bunch up and hibernate for the winter.

    Paint your house and buildings a dark color. They are attracted to light colors. I went from from white and tens of thousands to brown and a couple hundred.

    So any of you have experience with these caters and can you confirm guineas will eat them up? I am over run in my area and need to do something before they kill all my fruit trees. Will be installing bat houses this spring to fight the moth stage.
