I am looking for friendly birds ( i have kids that will want to pet them) preferably point of lay but also considering currently laying hens. My coup and run are about 50% done and I think I want to start out with just a few. Maybe three or four. I'm in the springs.

Hi All, I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on where is a good place to get chickens in or near the springs? I intend on keeping them as pets and for the eggs. I am just starting out so any directions you could point me in would be helpful. Thanks
