Happy Thanksgiving all! Hope you all have a wonderful and safe day!
The wind is whipping on my lily pad so I'm going to hold on tight and hope I don't blow off while I'm gorging on my turkey!
I just refilled my suet cages the other day. I hadn't filled any of my feeders in a while because of just being busy but I threw some BOSS in last week. There are quite a few birds back to the feeders but the dang squirrels are emptying them like crazy. Tomorrow, I have to take the time to mix...
Good afternoon pond. It's been yucky and drizzly on my lily pad all week. Though I did get the chicken run covered and surrounded with clear tarps for the winter :) Too bad it was a mucky mess already but hopefully it won't take too long to dry out. Hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday!
Good morning pond! Work is officially done for the season! :woot yesterday was my first day off and even though it was just a typical Saturday it felt different. I got all the laundry done and put away, including all my work stuff and got some turkey saddles put together. Then later, I got to...
Good morning pond. We had the last swap of the season yesterday morning. I managed to unload 6 extra satin cockerels. After the swap I processed the last 3 extra EE roos. I think we're officially cut back for the winter.
We used to go ice skating a lot when we were teens. DH would good my hands and whip me around the edges of the rink lol. Now we're both a bit thicker than we should be, have bad knees, and I have a bad back (still waiting on my MRI to happen). I miss how much fun it used to be though.
We're...
Good morning pond. Wind and rain on my lily pad the past couple days. Looks rainy today too and I'm supposed to be painting at work lol. Last weekend was the last weekend that I'd have to work for this season. Only 3 1/2 more weeks till winter layoff! I can't wait!
@Alaskan you can keep that...
Good morning pond! We made it safely back home from Texas and DS made it safely to his new base. 2 days with him was definitely not long enough but we are glad to be home. We spent our second day with him, after the final graduation ceremony, at SeaWorld San Antonio and we had a lot of fun. I am...
That it is not! Texas weather isn't even close to our Pennsylvania weather! DD is at home, dealing with a frost advisory this morning...We plan to put on shorts and a t-shirt and go to SeaWorld lol.
Yesterday was wonderful and it was great to see DS, hug him and hang out with him. We went to...
Now that sounds like a fun festival! We have potato fest going on right now in a town nearby and the Apply Cider Festival will be next Sunday at the park. I've been doing what I can to help prep for it since I'll be away all this week and can't help with the majority of the setup like usual
Good morning pond! I'm dragging myself in to work. It's the last day of a 9 day stretch! 1 week from now, I'll be in Texas to see DS graduate from basic training! I'm counting the days!
