    I have one rooster, a barred rock. And four hens, three are Rhode island reds and one is a black australorp. I hatched 13 chicks. 12 are black with white spots on their heads like a barred rock but one is white with black spots? Is this chick a result of the australorp? If so does anyone know...

    Ether to cull a chick

    Thank you all so much! Out of 13 we have 11 healthy chicks. 10 black barred rocks and one white with black spots (im stumped). I culled one and another died after hatching for reasons unknown. All in all id say it was a good turn out for my first try! 100% hatch rate!
