Can 2 week old chicks live outside during the summer?

My quails are 2 weeks old now. During the day it is 85-95 degrees F, and night time is 70. They’ll be in a coop. Is it safe for them to go out now?

Nope, no thermometer on me. I’ll get one ASAP though! Probably in the next few days. Thanks! I’ll keep everyone updated!

Do I have a drafty brooder? Help!

Yeah I could cut the boxes and attach them together. I don’t have a lower wattage bulb... Here’s an update of where they’re sitting now. Still too hot or???

Do I have a drafty brooder? Help!

Yo, this is my first time hatching quail eggs! Can someone tell me if the chicks placement says I have a drafty brooder? Or is it too hot? The chicks are all on the right, against the side of the box. How do I fix this? Is my lamp placement incorrect?

Noob here. Egg cracked due to low humidity??? Help!!

I’m using the Imagitarium round hygrometer. Cheap little thing but overall decent reviews. My incubator is the magic fly auto incubator.

Noob here. Egg cracked due to low humidity??? Help!!

Even without any water, the humidity goes up to 55-60%. The incubator is in a cool, dry place too. These are shipped eggs, from Myshire farms. I carefully inspected the eggs when I first got them and they were in perfect shape.

Noob here. Egg cracked due to low humidity??? Help!!

Hi guys. So I’m incubating quail eggs at 40-45% humidity, temp 99.5. It’s the fourth day of incubation and 2 of my eggs were partially caved in (but no leakage). The damage was too severe to let them stay in there, as they might rot or infect other eggs, so I removed them. I cracked both of them...

    HELP! One legged quail... Cull?

Wow, I really appreciate this thorough response! Before posting this, I thought about making a little cart for him, or a prosthetic type thing. Searched through several threads to learn as much as I can but nothing really seemed as bad as this case. Didn’t have a clear idea on what to do, so I...

    HELP! One legged quail... Cull?

I got a one legged quail today... about 5-6 weeks maybe? He’s not able to stand on one foot. The other foot is almost twisted completely backwards, too. He just scoots/crawls, and it’s incredibly difficult for him to get around. I’m not sure if this is a birth deformity or an injury. This makes...

Are my quail ready to be outside yet?

I clipped some bubble wrap on the little barred openings of the hutch, so no rain/water/wind gets in.

Are my quail ready to be outside yet?

Should I put them back inside at night, then outside during day? I just don’t wanna stress them out with all the different environments and handling.

Are my quail ready to be outside yet?

My quail are 3 weeks old. I plan on keeping them outside in a rabbit hutch that’s completely sealed off with bubble wrap. It also has a large tarp over it for additional protection. I can’t put a heating lamp inside but I can use Christmas lights. There is also plenty of straw and old cloth for...

How many quail can I fit into my rabbit hutch?

They are 3 weeks old Cortunix quail. Thank you for the advice! If you have any more, please let me know. I’m a newbie so I’m not entirely sure what I should know/what questions I should be asking. :P
