We are a couple that is building our homestead toward retirement. With both of us working full-time still, it is slow going. We have chickens and are going to build a 4 seasons, passive solar greenhouse onto our home. The chicken coop seems to be a continual work in progress. 
We have Jersey Giants and Barred Rocks. Also one Cochin - our "free surprise chick" from the hatchery.
