They should be ok, I put mine in with the chickens around 8-ish weeks (once they had their feathers) and they were fine. They learn quick to stay out of the rooster's way. I would mix them together when you have some time to observe them for a few minutes...
They will bond with the other...
I also have 11 french guineas.... started with 15, but the foxes got 4 at once! I haven't lost any to hawks, but they really are no match for foxes... Around my yard the guineas seem to stay out of the wide open areas where a hawk might get them. They spend a lot of time in the shade under...
I had the same thing happen to one of my poults.... its sad. Doesn't sound like spraddle leg, that would have happened when it was smaller.
If the leg is curled, and the poult doesn't want to/can't straighten it could be a slipped Achilles tendon. You can try to push it back in place by...
This is my first time with turkeys. Impulse buy at the feed store. However, these turkeys are COOL. I like their personalities. I am actually contemplating raising turkeys next year instead of meat birds. Meat birds just plop and eat. The turkeys follow, chat, and are just neat to watch...

Not to mention how much food the BBB's eat! I bought 6 this year for the first time b/c that's the only bread my local feed mill had for sale... I now think it's a conspiracy b/c I have to keep making runs to the feed store to buy more feed! This is going to be an expensive...
Should be plenty of room!
I know my two year old chickens accepted my keets just fine. The only issue was the rooster, but the keets learned quick to stay out of his way.
As to question 1, are you talking about effects on the guineas? If so, no side effects, guineas work well on turkey starter/grower. I actually raised my guineas with my turkeys... the only effect is that my turkeys think they are guineas.
2. Same as chickens... but once you start free...
If they are fully feathered it sounds like they are older than two weeks... It took mine about almost four months before all of the the 'fuzz' on their heads was gone.
They are crazy social, so when trying to train them to come back, just let some of them out... they won't go far and will hang...

Small claims is easy, I would trust it. Just make sure you bring everything you can think of (witnesses, photos, etc.). Owners are strictly liable for their dogs or other domestic animals if they are aware of the vicious propensities of the animals, so it's always good to establish a...
I don't know what jurisdiction you're in, but ordinarily you can seek punitive damages in a trespass action in addition to the actual damages causes by the dogs (i.e. dead chickens). I'm not a lawyer and not giving you legal advice, but generally speaking trespass is a tort where damages is not...
Oh yeah, and the solid black duck in the black ground... the one that looks like a cayuga... that was supposed to be a blue swede! It has a patch on its chest when it was a duckling, but that went away when the feathers grew in.
I guess I have mutts!
This guy was sold to be as an indian runner.... be he really doesn't look like one at all to me. Can anyone enlighten me as to what kind of ducks these are?
Thanks!
You need something on there for traction. My ducks had a hard time, so I put a rubber mat on the ramp to help them out. Your ramp does look steeper than mine though, I wouldn't rule that out... (I know my ducks aren't always smart and leap off the edge of the ramp before getting to the bottom).
