    HELP! I just bought a khaki campbell from a guy (along with two pekins) and they're all female. Or so I thought! My Khaki will do that head bob in the pool and mount one of the pekins! I've hosed "it" the last couple times I've seen it happen and when it takes off it has this...thing hanging...

    I have 3:3 as far as drakes to females. I'm sad at the idea of getting rid of any of them. :( Can I sell them for meat this early? Or is that all about the transaction? :idunno

    Should I separate him? He's mean! And it's not just my girls...there's two other drakes in there. The one missing the most is another drake! I can't see them losing it in the same exact spots...besides, I've watched that little stinker do it in the pool. Is this a side of nature I need to leave...

    What is happening to my ducks?? I'm watching one of my drakes pick the heck out of the others! They're all what looks like losing feathers. They are bald on their hind ends. It's too early for mating (4-5 mos old). Any help here??

    how do you introduce a duckling to a 4 week old duck?

    When are babies old enough to mingle with older "ducklings"?? I have 3-4 month old pekins and about 2 month old mallards (2) and khakis (2). I let them mingle for a minute last night and they all looked curious about each other, but panicked when they got too close :/

    Would rubber mats be okay to use in the coop along with shavings? I have 6 pekins and with them coming in and out of the pool and pooping and drinking I think it might be easier to clean. Plus, I would think it would be ideal on their feet and legs?

    It started as fun for the kids. When they lost interest I of course took over taking care. I love it! 6 Pekins, 2 Khakis chicks, and 2 Mallards chicks to start. I want to add some Cayugas, and some Blue and Black Swedish a little later. Any pointers? I've read the threads in here for the breeds...

    It started as fun for the kids. When they lost interest I of course took over taking care. I love it! 6 Pekins, 2 Khakis chicks, and 2 Mallards chicks to start. I want to add some Cayugas, and some Blue and Black Swedish a little later. Any pointers? I've read the threads on here for Cayugas.
