    Meet Panzer

    This is Panzer von Gott and he is the newest addition to our little family. He is a registered Great Dane and he enjoys lounging and slobbering. He is very smart and just energetic enough. He is a joy to have around and is very very lovable. We hope to get lots more pictures posted soon.

    Best Raccoon/Opossum bait?

    I have baited my traps with an egg in the past. That way it doesn't attract the neighborhood cat. All the other suggestions have worked for me too.

    Blinking lights deter night predators?

    I found that the best deterrent is good fencing and solid doors. Make sure you have an apron around the run and house too so they can't dig under. I also have live traps baited for them. Only caught the neighbors cat once.

    We tried the the Night Guard Solar lights a few months ago and the raccoons broke in three inches from where they were mounted. We tried different positions and they still roamed all around them.

    These were laid on January 6th, 2012! Yay! Maybe now we can stop buying from the store.

    Portable run - anybody have any plans?

    This is a 4x8 tractor we built recently. We are working on a house to go on top so they can stay the night in there instead of going back to the egg shack every night. They all spent the day in there when they were babies but now we can keep four to eight in there comfortably.
