What time does your flock go in to roost?
mine also go in themselves when it starts to get dark. When its raining tho or crappy weather, they go in early :) Its like they have this little inner clock :)- PamBee

Hi! I have a sultan chicken and I suspect its a Roo. How can I tell for sure? She/He is about 9 weeks old. My hubby said she/he was behind one of our leghorns trying to mate? I dont see a comb yet but she/he has so much fluff on her head its hard to see anything else. thanks for any info!- PamBee

bite size food?
Question...I have been giving the girls leftover vege clippings when I made salad or fresh veges. Do I need to chop the scraps bite size for them or can they peck and eat at larger pieces?? thanks!- PamBee

food off limits to chickens
Hi there! I am new to this and have 10 hens. I have been feeding them vege scraps and pieces of meat and oats. Along with their Chick feed. Was wondering what is OFF limits for chickens other than eggs and eggshells???- PamBee

mohawk chicken!
