UPDATE:
I contacted the manufacturer of the drinker through email. I corresponded with "Bob" who over a couple of days and about 7 emails really helped me. The drinker is now working fine and watering my 100 roosters.
Because of the special attention I was given, I highly recommend their...
I assume you just slide the chickens neck to the bottom of the "V" then give it a solid tug down. I would mount it vertically on a solid post. It should break the neck and separate it from the skull. I would think if done correctly that would be very quick for the bird.
I always pick up old bed...
I am trying to get all my ducks in a row before I start processing my meat birds (in 3 months) I am going to buy, or make something to help me wring their necks humanely.
I have been researching to figure out how to get rid of the chicken offal (guts) and feathers.
1. I am planning to feed the...

This look like it works the same way as the rabbit wringer.
I just want to be able to do it quick and as painless as possible. I try to give my birds a happy pleasant life and when the time comes, make it as quick as possible.
Has anybody used or made a similar device like the morrigan humane poultry killer?
It severs the spine and causes it to bleed into the head eliminating the mess you normally have. I am gearing up to be able to process 100 meat birds in a couple of month. I am going to buy the Yardbird Plucker...
I received 100 plus 5 extra chicks from Meyers Hatchery last week. All chicks were fine and in good health. I moved them into the coop after a couple of days. The coop is divided in half. My two young emus are in one side. On the other side I make it a huge brooder. Well, I guess I was not too...
I will try to hang it, but I will try it outside of the coop first. I can see that the weight of the water (50Lbs±) could cause the bottom to bulge downward lowering the level of the valve.
Thanks :bow
I spent more money that I normally do and bought this nice easy fill drinkerr. I put it in my coop and it slowly overflowed and flooded the coop floor. Is there an adjustment or something I can do. I really would like to use it, because it will be much easier for my wife to fill, without having...
I noticed that the roof was corrugated metal no insulation and right over the head of the chickens. Easy Bake. It will make sure they are outside all the time. And they will wonder why they are laying their eggs on the ground. If they lay them in the nest box, they will be cooked eggs
