For me a heirloom roma is the best. Yes there are better tasting heirlooms... And I grow a few mentioned above too .... But, with ease of growing, big yields/ long harvest time and all purpose eating & canning- roma is my go to tomato.
We started with moscovy ducks and 6 weeks later got chickens. So they weren't in brooder at same time. This wasn't by any plan on my part but I'd agree ducks are very messy with water and you want the chicks to stay on dry land while young in brooder. If you can keep them together in a brooder...
I've only incubated once. But for me at day 17 I took them out of egg turner to rest with no signs of peeping or pip until about 36 hours later on day 19 I awoke to a surprise of 1 baby chick! I didn't see/hear any other signs on the other eggs until later that day.
Our first time incubating and hatching eggs was successful with 32 of 41 hatching.
