Yes....learned my lessons from: losing a hen to worms, being attacked by my rooster, losing eggs to egg-eating hens, and giving away a hen that was too stressed and picking her own feathers. The chicken "learning curve" is indeed a tough climb! LOLOL

I am a new BYC member. I have had chickens for about 2 years. And there is a definite high learning curve to having chickens! Learned much about worms, feather picking, introducing new hens, dealing with an aggressive rooster, and hens eating eggs!
BTW someone mentioned using "fake eggs" in nesting boxes. I tried all kinds of ways to break my hens of a bad habit.....breaking and eating eggs. I could not figure out who the culprit was. I placed 1 fake egg in each nesting box. Bingo! It did the trick. No more broken eggs. I guess hitting a...
