    Hi We’ve our three chickens the older hen Dame Edna has had an implant to stop her laying as she was laying internal eggs she’s fine , so are Madge and Blossom

    Does the death of a pet chicken ever get 'easier' do deal with.

    Hi I feel your pain We lost Vera on Tuesday and she was part of family Really upset still and so Is Edna our only other hen left Have to go back to work tomorrow after being allowed some time off Hope it helps to take my mind off it Take care

    Hi Thanks for your reply Yes we won’t be doing that again We put some sweetcorn and lettuce into a hanging feeder and she’s eating that Finding it hard not seeing Vera she was only 18 months old and went down hill so quick she was always so active and lovely I spent 6 hours with Edna yesterday...

    Hi We’ve had chickens just over a year only had two Poor Vera got Ill last week took to vet first one said was ok another vet said was impacted crop poor Vera so had an op to release it which it did , but still Ill and crop full again, very weak still trying to eat and drink , so upsetting...
