any inexpensive flea and tick repellents that work??

That's really neat that you use plantain leaves. Do you make a salve or is taken orally?

any inexpensive flea and tick repellents that work??

Well, you get what you pay for, and most brands not found at your Veterinarian are knockoffs that are very artfully designed to look like the real deal. And they typically don't work. I have found Seresto collars to work very well for me. I like the fact that they have a repellent aspect, as...

    Are all Orpingtons friendly?

Any chicken has the potential to be mean, aggressive or unfriendly regardless of breed. I say, if they look like a bird you want, get them!

Dog has itchy, dry, patchy, red, swollen skin.

I would schedule a Vet visit. This dog could be suffering from a host of things. Getting it checked out by a Vet now will in the long run, save you money. Oatmeal shampoo is great, but what if is just provides temporary relief? Over bathing can be harmful to the skin too. Grain free dog...

    Who laid this egg?

What is an OE? To me, that's Old English (game bantam) or do you mean Olive Egger? The Cochin, she's large fowl? You're probably right, a baby egg from the Polish mix. Ahh, the mystery! You'll just have to spy on them!

Help! I messed up pulley introductions

Oh no, I'm so sorry! Peck order should work itself out, it may be a bit rough at the start, but just make sure there's plenty of room for the pullet to get away, plenty of food and water spots and they should all eventually get along! Good luck!

    MY CHICKEN ALMOST DIED!

Aw, poor Blanche! I would just keep her separated from now on. Maybe find her nice, non bullying friend and they can have their own flock!

    Who laid this egg?

Your EE would have a beautiful blue egg. Looks bantam sized. Do you have any bantams?

what is she? When she was a baby i thought she was a prairie blue bell but not sure that's right. SHe is 8weeks old

She's cute! Why do you think she is a Prairie Blue Belle? I think if you got some photos of her standing so we can see her body and a little better shot of her comb, that would be perfect!

    Snapped neck

I agree with @Red Mangrove. It sounds like to me something got in the coop and tried to take a chicken and was interrupted. I have taken to shutting up my coop before evening as I've had a raccoon waltz on in and try to steal eggs after sundown. Now I take no chances! So sorry about your...
