Is it possible to attach a string on the peacocks leg to keep it from jumping over a fence? I’ve seen there are like leashes for roosters to keep them from roaming too far away, will this also work on a peacock?

The only way to tell if it’s a male is by looking at the tip of its head. At two months he should have a walnut growing and the wattles should be some what visible as well. Yours looks like it could be a hen since the feathers from its tail are more silky.
