Hi everyone, I am hoping to pick up some Swedish flower hen chicks this weekend and I am wondering if anyone has suggestions on how to pick for adult colorings- meaning I want to get some grey/blue tones but not black. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! :)
This is my other "araucana" I think the lady I got them from breeds Americana and araucana together, but I am not worried about true breeding just like the rumpless look since they are just pet egg layers :)
Thanks :) I just love the look of the lighter laced ones cause it is more noticeable she just looks black until you get really close definitely the most docile of my pullets
Thanks. I have always thought roo cause of its behavior but now I am kicking myself because it is very friendly (always has been) and I don't give it any attention cause I was worried it was a roo and dangerous if I babied it?
Thank you to everyone! :) I am excited that this is likely a pullet. I personally love her coloring but I only have 4 chickens and just for eggs so she is just gonna be a pretty egger :) my other blrw pullet turned out black which I am unhappy with but she is sweet
Its pretty high and big but doesn't show any other signs of being a roo. The other "pullet" I got with this one was for sure a roo. I will try to get some pics. It is a pet quality orangey color
Thanks I have a pullet and another that was sold to me as a pullet and I am not sure if it is or not seems to hold its tail up in a rooish way but definatly doesn't have comb or wattles like that
