    Egg Laying

    I have 10 chickens some were hatched last February. Some of them want to lay their eggs under their roosts instead of in the nest box. I get 6 to 7 eggs a day.

    By the way I received 5 adult chickens and they are doing fine and laying 3 t0 4 eggs a day.

    I think we have solved the problem. We had a concrete pad poured a few feet from the chicken yard during wet and cold weather. The chickens died within days. Discovered that zink oxide in in cement. I believe the runoff caused the problem.
