Oh no
There are a lot of sad things in this world, but the sight of a dead duckling is an instant heart-breaker. All that time incubating and then the long struggle to get out- just to die a few moments later is so tragic!
I forgot to add that I didn't bring them inside until the night they started hatching. If you keep her inside while sitting, make sure you are very regular with her off-nest times. Once in the morning and once at night is all she'll want for a quick bath and to relieve herself. If she's a good...
We did a hatch of 4 call ducks with mama duck indoors. It definitely requires 24/7 attention.
We fenced them off in a corner of the room, where they would stay for a couple hours at a time. Then they'd go outside for 30 minutes of supervised play, then back inside. Once they were put to bed...
I have a messy suggestion- give her dirt:
Our ducks love dirt, mud and muddy water. Try hiding treats (meal worms, peas, sand/grit) in a shallow tray filled with fresh potting soil (untreated with chemicals of course). She'll have fun rummaging her head in the dirt and finding the treats.

We let our mini appleyard hen build up a clutch of 6 and then kept her in the pen all day. That was enough to get her to go broody. Exactly 30 days later 4 eggs hatched. We sold two of the ducklings last fall and kept two girls. The littlest girl just laid her first egg 2 days ago by the pool...
I wish I could say how things will turn out for you. I would trade 3 of the drakes for 3 girls, but I know you're attached and that makes it a harder decision to make.
I can imagine a group of all drakes can be intimidating and they seem to sense fear. I'd recommend never turning your back on...
For just the ducks I grow kale, red leafy greens and cabbages, peas, carrots, and celery. I keep all of it in pots, out of reach of nibbling bills, and pick off maturing bits as they grow. I left a pot of kale seedlings on the ground by accident the other day. Found it later that same day with...
Drakes can be real punks when they reach maturity. If you're seen as part of the flock, they will try to dominate you and establish a new pecking order with them on top. In their eyes, every time you come around is a new opportunity to move up in the pecking order and put you beneath them...
That is awesome! I love that there are folks who listen instead of assuming the ducks are just making noise.
Our drake says, "mraw mraw mraw" when there's something scary approaching in the sky.
There's a more drawn out, raspier version for when they are out of the food he wants. He'll stand...
We don't have Harlequins or Muscovies but a miniature breed. Despite that, there are things that can go in the ground and things that can't. All plants from the Brassicae family and leafy greens have to go in boxes or containers that are out of reach or they will be eaten to death. Pea shoots...
