I checked with 3 Tractor Supply's the last 2 weeks and they only get a supply of ducks in on Mondays and they never know what kind there going to get in or even what kind they are. I am close to Front Royal.
I would say go take some gun safety classes and buy a gun because one day you might find your self being the chickens trying to run from the pack. I know if there is a dog attacking any of my animals or any animal I would shoot them and i would want someone to do the same if my dog was attacking...
what i do with my layer is if i have any leftover veggies i will cook them off and then mix them with my layer feed and let it cool and if its cold out side I will give it to them when its alittle warm and they do really well laying in the winter when I do this.
My chickens have had rabbit pellets before when i use to have my rabbits with my goats and chickens and the chickens would eat the rabbit feed and the goat feed more then the rabbits and goats would.
My rir are a little to friendly because when they were babies my gf use to hold them all the time and play with them so now when I walk into the coop I got a bunch of chickens trying to sit on my shoulders or if you bent over they all will get on your back.
