    Well I got my girls on Sat. 3 Silkies........so far so good.......except our 8 mth old puppy just wants to play with them........so not too much free range time yet ;) Our coop is a small one & I bought a dog enclosure that acts as a run, I was lucky to find this all on Kijiji........so...

    I have decided not to give up.......found a small coop on Kijiji, and I will keep them until I get caught ;) May trade the Ameraucana for another silkie so I won't have to worry about them flying & they are smaller, easier to hide ;)

    Thanks everyone, I feel better now. Georgina I live in Angus, my hubby works in Nmkt. He isn't that handy so not sure about him building the coop, how many chickens are you going to have......& are u in an urban setting, & is he insulating it?

    I must say everyone I have told is trying to talk me out of this :( Say chickens are dirty & smelly & who will watch them if we go away . They are sick killjoys :( Honestly how hard are 3 chickens going to be?
