Hi Everyone, lately, the chicken is recovering and we send the chicken for a second check up ($65) as the wound seem to be bigger. Luckily, it is just part of healing process and the green colour is just the way chicken heal up in compare to human healing up. I just need to be patient and giving...
No burn to the tongue or beak. However the burn is found in the esophagus. Going vet is quite costly in australia as it cost $75 for consultation and $65 for medicine. Not sure if it is more expensive in other country?
Thanks everyone. Currently feeding the hen antibotics and need to do that for 5 days, twice a day. :)

Just visited the vet and he said that it is crop burn. The possible cause is the chicken ate something slightly hot, and since their crop is very thin, it may burn through it. As I had given the hen some cooked rice (as treats), the vet said that it could be the rice was hot inside while cold...
I see. Need to observation to know this. Will watch her more often these days. My hen no longer lay eggs.. I think she is 5 years old now, not sure how long the lifespan of a chicken? Hope she could be as long as possible.
Thanks for your advise. Will do the recommendation. There are no bad smell and suspect could be a scalp of recovery as she has something like that but very small before and it drop off. This is a bit big though. I am going to bring her to the nearest bird vet for a check, just in case.
Thanks for the reply. So sad to hear that your hen pass away. I am worried too as this is my only chicken and cannot bare to see anything goes wrong :(
