    Hey there. This is exactly what I am after. Do you have any close ups of the front so I can see how big an opening you have for your shute? Not sure how big to make the opening. I guess not big enough so they can stick their heads in!

    The fender washers etc needed for hardware cloth?

    Just to add to the choice of fixings offered above, I came across a special kind of washer at the hardware. It called a hobson washer and its about 1 .5 inches square and the hole is big enough for construction screws. They also come in larger sizes for larger gap mesh.
