    Could I incubate them in my Oven?

    Not purposelessly reviving an old thread... I have an old, electric wall oven (free), ordered an incubator thermostat and plan to knock together a frame, add insulation and wire the bulb to the thermostat. Will put bottles of water in it, as mass heat storage, and see what happens...

    Newbie to the group and looking for a source of Buckeye chicks, in the Austin, Texas area. While the chicks are in a brooder, I'll be building a chicken-tractor. When they get large enough, I plan on Copning(Caponizing?), which I will first practice prior to cleaning for the stew-pot...
